For those on the go (I too don't have a WAP enabled phone)
you can also view the SRS Synchrotron Beam Status via WAP.

http://www.gelon.net has a nice WAP emulator

The Synchrotron beam is in shutdown mode until
July so the WAP pages are static at the moment.

At the NOBUGS Conference which finished today - there
was also an example of using WAP to remotely monitor 
experiments at the ILL Neutron facility, in Grenoble,
France  via WAP phones as part of the G.E.O.R.G.E. system.
(at present, mainly for the benefit of beamline staff)
