Dear microscopists,
with support from the College's Equipment Sharing Grant we now
finally have an RGB camera for histology imaging on Widefield 2 (South
Kensington). It has a nixe, large sensor with 2452 x 2056 pixels,
3x12bit digitisation.
Thanks to this grant, we also have upgraded to a new 64-bit Win-7
computer, so we can now run the newest version of the Hamamatsu HCImage
software, which allows automated tiling and stitching of large areas. In
combination with the new camera, this will finally allow efficient
acquisition of large histology slides. If this is what you need, please
get in touch.
For those located in Hammersmith: HWF1 has had this functionality
already.
Good imaging,
Martin
