Have a look here: https://klee.github.io/tutorials/ for a couple of 
examples with different input types.

Moreover, in https://klee.github.io/publications/ you find an incomplete 
list of papers that use or extend KLEE. Just reading the titles might 
give you an idea of the applicability.
