MIME types for XML and gangs?

Yes, the plan of the WG is to register text/xml and application/xml.  
We should use text/xml usually.  application/xml is for sending XML 
documents in UTF-16 or UCS-2 via e-mail.

#I haven't done my homework, which is to write an RFC draft ....
