Problems parsing XML

Is there a reason you need to write your own parser?  There are at
least five publicly available (James Clark, Microstar, DataChannel,
Tim Bray, Microsoft).

One fundamental flaw in _XML Complete_ is Holzner's apparent belief
that you must write Java code in order to do anything useful with
XML.  

If you *want* to write a parser as an interesting excerise, great;
have fun.  But I just wanted to make sure you were aware that you
absolutely don't need to.
