Majix 1.0 : the new freeware in 
the world of marked languages

TetraSix is now releasing Majix 1.0, a freeware you
may access by visiting the Cie's site at http://www.tetrasix.com

Majix 1.0 is the very first converter entirely written in Java
 which produces XML from RTF. Thanks to Majix 1.0, the conversion
 of RTF files into XML is easily done.

This tool is deemed to be found essential by those concerned
 with the development of the Intranet, and those who run XML
 applications, as it allows users to populate a Word database
 without having first to create XML files.



This is how TetraSix caracterizes MAJIX 1.0


- First of all, Majix 1.0 is pleasantly easy to use:
  the matching process between predefined Word
  styles and XML data items is very easy to do. 

- With Majix 1.0, every tag matching is managed
  by the user. Whatever the tag set (for instance, 
  those tags used in any XML application and
  sector based DTD), it can be used when
  producing XML files. With this management
  fonction, users can start their own application
  from a common source

- Majix 1.0 does not have fixed style sheets:
  you are free to add your own and to decide 
  on your personal matching between different tag sets

- Majix 1.0 is able to recognize pictures 
  (whether included in a Word document or 
  attached to it) and to place the appropriate tags.
  Majix 1.0 thus not only converts, but 
  enriches complicated documents

- MS Word tables are analysed and translated
  files contain the correct XML tags for these 
  charts

- Majix 1.0, because it is written according to
  XML grammar rules, guarantees your 
  documents will be translated into well-formed XML files

- Majix 1.0 can not only be used with msxsl (by Microsoft)
  to generate XML, but also 
  with nsgmls (designed by James Clark) to validate
  the generated XML files. Majix 1.0 
  includes utilities which split XML documents
  into different size fragments which are 
  adapted to any kind of publication on the World Wide Web

- Majix 1.0 offers on-line help, which any
  browser of your choice will display.
