XML parsing from within a VB server component

Can it be done?
Is there any documentation for msxml.dll?
Is this module used by the browser only or can I use it in my server
component?
If had trouble finding information on this module. I've only found what
looks like an incomplete API.
Any direction would be greatly appreciated...
