what is "completely different" [Re: RDF, Namespaces, and Vers ioning?]

I concur with David Megginson's mail of Feb. 10.  Namespaces serve to
globally disambiguate names.  They do not define the syntax or semantics of
the named things: that is the business of various kinds of defining
documents, including schemas.
