Streaming XML (Was RE: XML Information Set Requirements, W3C Note 18-February-1999)

The DOM spec says that the DOM is only an API for viewing a document. The
underlying object structure may or may not bear any resemblence to the DOM,
but as long as the user is talking DOM they can't tell the difference and
shouldn't care what the back end looks like.
