Is CDATA "structure"?

No and yes. I.e. I think <![CDATA[<x>]]> is effectively identical
to <x> for all practical purposes. Having said that, I think it
might be a very desirable feature in an XML editor to preserve my
CDATA sections where possible. -Tim
