XSL implementation other than Java?

there is actually a XSLT parser for Perl available since 
last week:

http://www.sci.kun.nl/sigma/Persoonlijk/egonw/xslt/

it is slow due to the XML::DOM trees, but it works...
We haven't tried precompiling the script.
