SAX2 RFD: Inheritance vs. Modification vs. Amalgamation

Err ... I might be losing my sanity here, but I
_thought_ I'd posted a description of a technique that
allows us to have the best of all worlds (forwards and 
backwards compatibility with new methods added to 
Parser, and no ugly casting or catching of
NoSuchMethodErrors) in my last contribution to the
'Parser2 considered harmful' thread,

Didn't it propagate? Didn't it make sense? I'd be
happy to elaborate if it wasn't all that clear.
