| What is the current status of the XPointer effort. The last spec is from
| March 98.

It's not dead, but it's been waiting for the infoset WD. And now that
the infoset WD is here harmonization with the XSL pattern syntax is
being looked into, so it will still take a while before we see the
next WD.
