We still need to be XML conforming, so we need a different first character.
John Cowan has convinced me that subsetting Unicode for CharData doesn't
have to be a huge performance issue. Let's not allow chars that XML does
not allow.
We should use the character productions defined in XML. A bit more of a
headache for programmers, but nothing tough.

>CharData ::= [^<>&]*
>CharCode ::= '&' ('#x' [0-9A-F]+ | 'lt' | 'gt' | 'amp') ';'
