Which is what Sun is doing with its standard extensions; there's
at least one precedent beyond POSIX certification.
FWIW I'm more than willing to hear about issues people may have in
the SAX-1.0/XML-1.0 test harness I've written (on my XML page),
and would be interested in any enhancements folk have that can
promote SAX-2.0 conformance testing.
Fair notice: those aren't the only standards that'll be involved
in such work. And of course, since it's Open Source it can be used
without my active involvement too. (Though I'd love to hear about
it before anyone starts!)
