Hmm, but those limitations really only apply to the internal subset.  Am
I missing something?  (Mind you, there are those who say that the absence
of exclusion exceptions makes 'em unmaintainable). 

As for the rest of Eliot's remarks, right on.  In particular, the idea that
you should start with XML see how far that gets you.  It's risk-free.
