My question is what Tim means by "compound document", a term
I've used for a year and a half (see SGML 97 proceedings) to
mean a document composed of parts, potentially in various
formats, which may be SGML documents that are linked to as
part of the content of an enframing document. CBL uses such
compound documents.

regards, Terry
