I didn't say they cannot be used, I suggested that the be used *in
conjunction with something else*.

The reverse is true if your trigger wants to distinguish between
strict/transitional, etc.

A validator is such a trigger.

If there is one namespace, then something other than *just* namespaces must
be used to trigger validation. That was my point.
